I have a 58 356 A with a 1968 912 engine and 12V conversion. The engine is currently being rebuilt and I'm changing the full flow oil system to a Shasta Design set-up. This will force me to lose my mechanical drive tach and switch to an electric tach. I recently picked up a very clean early 912 green on black face electric tach at a good price. My car is about an hour away so I haven't had the chance to examine the electric tach and mechanical tach side by side. Does anyone know if the 912 tach will fit the 356 dash without modification? I'm so hoping that they are interchangeable. I've looked around and couldn't find anything online to confirm one way or another. Thanks for any help. Shayne
