Ultimately, it came down to the accelerator pumps being out of whack. In reality, it's hard to say what initially caused the problem because so many little things were fiddled with by the other mechanics before it got to that point that it's hard to say. I think along the way the accel pumps were adjusted in attempt to fix the problem, but, basically were not the problem.

So, whenever the main issue (which was most likely a dead float-which doesn't work no matter how well you set the "levels"!) was finally worked out, the accel pumps were still off-kilter. Now it rips.
