Are you saying that the symptoms started several weeks after the procedure that took place already in June ?

Then forget my previous comment.

If there were that long a delay between procedure and start of symptoms I doubt there is a connection - and as stated the symptoms sounds unusual for being caused by such investigation.

Not least on account of the breathing symptoms I would start fresh, wide open mind, looking for other possible causes - your friends being one of them of course.

Edit: Theoretically the procedure perhaps could have created a basis for volvolous creating similar symptoms - but thats far feched. Could be anything from ventricular to pancreatic or bowel related (as well as thoracal or lumbar compression)
