Steps are. Car on stands, disconnect battery, unbolt sway bar, let it hang. remove front heater hoses, tranny ground and open throttle linkage. Put jack under engine, take weight and unbolt the shifter rod. Note there is no realigning required when you reconnect.
Next, remove the transmission support and lower the transmission by 15cm. The Porsche book shows them using a long extension to get the bolt.
