after a hurricane (sometimes during) I usually drive around checking my parents properties and friend's homes and buildings. Trees down everywhere, electrical wires strung across the road, houses with roofs gone, homes damaged and buildings destroyed. Rain and more rain..I'm usually up all night watching all this happen. No electricity or water for days. no phone. no TV. only the food you stored before the storm. During the storm the wind and rain is unbelievable. the house shakes, things crash into the outside walls. you hear sounds of trees breaking and objects being blown around. it's something you'll remember for quite a while. right now we have 30-40 mph (going to 40-60mph later tonight) winds outside and we're almost 200 miles east of the storm. it's really quite an experience to sit through these things

I laugh at them because they are all the same.
