could, if ya squint, read that as;
the supertankers crossing the (entrance to the)
Panama Canal with crude from Venezuela go to Houston, . .. . . .Rather than "crossing [thru] the..."
I mean, hey, the canal entrance is close to their path. . like only 700 miles.
