fire damaged 84 euro spec carrera

UPDATE 9/26 - MANY THANKS TO EWAVE FOR GOING TO LOOK AT THE CAR AND PROVIDING THE PHOTOS ATTACHED.

BEST OFFER OVER $1K BY FRIDAY MIDNIGHT TAKES THE CAR.

In need of advice - I have an 84 Euro spec Carrera with 42K mi which I recently bought from the original owner. Unfortunately I was hit (hard) from behind about 2 weeks ago by a 1-ton flatbed truck while sitting in traffic at a stop light. The impact drove me into the vehicle in front and crumpled the left front fender. The back was badly smashed in. Later, an engine fire developed. It burned all the plastic, hoses, and I don't know what else related to the engine in addition to burning all the interior and about 60% of the exterior.

The right front fender and passenger side door (exterior) are intact - still with glossy original black paint. The drivers side door is intact but burn damaged on the exterior. All other body panels other than the roof are bent.

Also intact are the Fuchs black alloy wheels which originally came with the car. Three of the four (two front and one rear) have nearly new Bridgestone Z rated tires (2 205 16's and 1 225 16) - the 4th tire burned. The wheels are still mint.

The previous owner added new rotors, brakes, etc. and a lot of other components ($7k) about a year ago. Some of that stuff should still be intact. I suppose some of the suspension components, transmission, exhaust components, etc. may also be intact. The side mirrors are OK. One headlight assembly is OK and the Euro sidemarker lights are OK. The radio antenna is OK. All the glass is gone. Engine is a big question mark - I don't have the expertise to know whether or to what extent it's salvageable.
I do know that it was tight and smooth as hell and ran like a scalded dog before the crash.

If anyone has any interest in any of this stuff or wants to come look at the car, please drop me a note. The car is in North Texas, near Dallas. I'll try to respond to any and all emails.

Thanks

PS - looking to buy another 84 or 85 Euro spec coupe or targa with low miles
