I was awoken by some very, erm, strange, squawking this morning. My birds have very distinct, and often hilarious, whistles... but this was more like chatter and random shrieking. First, I figured the cat was probably taunting them, so I wondered out there to see what was going on. Basically... early-morning cockatiel freakyness.

Every book I've read said that they will not mate if I don't give them a breeding box... yet... this morning, there they were, getting it on.

Not sure what to think. There's decent $$ in cockatiels, but damn it's a lot of work. Plus, the way I get attached to things, I'll probably end up keeping them and I'll end up with fifty cockatiels.
