Thank you very much Steve. It reads: "Virginia Eliza Clemm was born on August 22, 1822 to Maria Poe (sister of Edgar's father David) and her husband William Clemm, Jr. (1779-1826)."
So that must mean he had a blood relation to her.
I was hoping it was the other was around!
