A leader does not proclaim "mission accomplished" in the midst of a war, unless that leader knows nothing about what it will take to win the war. Telling the American people the mission was accomplished while giving them another tax cut and spewing nonsense about how well the effort was going was not leadership. It was salesmanship, and piss poor salesmanship at that. Its no wonder the populace got fed up, quickly and relatively easily.
That's why we are where we are today. Cindy Sheehan filled a vacuum. A vacuum of leadership.
