"Petrol,
from the way talk about it being such a slug and ugly gray as well as the comfort package slowing it down I'd say you either own a sport version in the ever so rare Red or Silver.. or you have never driven one... which is it?
Just to touch on the topic of the 996GT2 and the 959 being compared.. you DO realize that the 959 was developed in the early 80's and sold in 1988! the GT2 is one of Porsche top offerings CURRENT TIME! OF COURSE IT IS GOING TO BE A over all BETTER CAR! it DAMN WELL BETTER BE!
I think you have NO concept of what you are talking about.. but thanks for sharing anyway... that's the great thing about the USA and the Pelican forums.. we are able to hear it all."

Eric,

sorry I missed this till now! have you ever driven one?? if so please, tell us all about it??

-The 959 is one of my all time favorite cars. After seeing one in person this past winter and taking 50 or so photo's of it I was convinced again that this is not only a technological marvel, but in my opinion one of the most bueatiful cars ever. That being said,

1. There were too many of them built for them to be worth this kind of $$, and I seriously doubt that they will ever be worth huge money as an investment, of course you could buy one and we'll see in 30 years who was right!!

2. All that I and 99% of this forum can do in this case regarding how it drives VS the new cars is read other opinions of the cars, if you didn't read the Excellence article I suggest you take a look you may educate your self a bit more...

3. And finally, I see you're from cleveland!- Good luck with the Indians, I hope they take the white sox and win the division!
