-the second car they drove was modified, with a different turbo and a lot of go fast goodies, that car they loved, but still said you couldn't really come up with any good reason for buying one today, given the other options out there today for much less money
-That doesn't mean that people won't sell these cars for a lot of cash, hell, people buy pet rocks..

Petrol,
I still think you are missing what I am saying...
I am not the type person that listens to what others opinions are about things..and holds onto them as gospel. I like to find out for myself..
If some one told you SEX with a great Gal was bad .. would you believe them and go around repeating what they said.. I would hope not. What I am trying to say is that no one shouldn't BASH a 20 year old Super car because it doesn't stack up to a 2004 GT2 or a 2004 Twin Turbo.. that's CRAZY! and as for Excellence.. sure that's a GREAT magazine.. but just because they say it's not what they thought it would be.. who CARES! almost everything aside from sex isn't quite going to meets ones expectations after 15-20 years of seeing it and dreaming of what it would be like to drive one especially a CAR! As guys we dream of cars and fall asleep dreaming of ourselves winning lemans in them but yeah.. They will never as fast and as sweet as we had dreamed them to be 20 years ago…It is what it is..... So .. Do you see what I am saying,, not trying to get into a " who can piss further" contest with you. I am simply saying that yes a 996TT is a damn great machine.. and yeah around a track SURE! it's faster and all.. but that doesn't mean the 959 is any less a car.. I also happen to think a 959 is far prettier to look at than a 996 TT. just my .02 which is worth as much as a good fart... so as far as comparing a 996TT to a 959 what do you want to hear? as the question and I'll answer you. hey in 20 or 30 years call me and we'll talk about the going price for a low mileage 959
BTW: I am from Centerville, Ohio... but I am a BOSTON fan...
