Well I finnaly got some time to work on the good old porsche. Got all the timming belts off, got the head off and the pistons out. Everything looks amazing very little wear and tear on a motor the sees redline 100 times a day. Very happy at how clean everything is, Im thinking it has to to with the mobil one oil and a bottle of fuel injector cleaner I run every 2 oil changes. I know its taking FOREVER to get her done, but hey its a hobby and the freaking thing is expensive to make FASTER

I have to take some measurements so I can order new rings for the 88 pistons i got and I also need to order rod bearings wrist pins and connecting rod bolts, gonna go the ARP rout for bolts and stuff. Other then that everything is going very smoothly and I have a box of goodies waiting to be installed, I cant wait. I will get you guys pics soon. Also I have made the decision to scap the singal fogger wet nitrous idea and go with a wet direct port 50-200hp adjusable system, its gonna be fun.
P.S Has anyone replace head studs in their 944? Im gonna install some ARP head studs but Im almost afraid to remove the old studs due to age, Guess Im just gonna cross my fingers.
P.S.S. what do you guys think, Should I just go crazy and have the crank lightened and knifed edge/cross drilled since Im in there.
