Well I went back and played some more Holdem at the Santa Fe...Super Tight game....got to talk to the guy next to me...87 years old, told me the first time he got busted for gambling (playing craps) was in 1934 in NYC when he was 16. He dug a old business card out of his wallet and showed me...he said he started working at the Sands as an "executive"in 1970. He said the Sands was owned by the NY Mob, the Chicago mob owned the Stardust...and that we had a mutual aquaintance...Al Sacs.
But the thing that sticks with me is when he said to me, "Guys LIKE US don't play cards for our health."
