That would be all the engine guys who have no idea what they are talking about. Who specifically are "All the engine guys?"
The reason why these bearings are so expensive is because no one ever needs them. These cases rarely see a spun crankshaft bearing, and if they do, it's usually cheaper to find a new case ($1200 or so) than to buy these silly bearings.
