Reducing poverty is completely different from reducing the rich-poor gap.
Globally, the rich have been getting richer for decades now, and the ultra-rich have been getting ultra-richer. That is fine with me.
I believe it is important for our country to reduce poverty. I do not think it is particularly important to reduce the rich-poor gap.
Anyway, I think the more interesting aspect of this data point has to do with the question of whether there is a bubble in real estate prices.
