Just an aside. I have worked closely with dozens of black physicians over the years, all of which gained admission to medical school through affirmative action. What do they all have in common? Their parents were all professionals. Mostly doctors. In these cases, affirmative action clearly misses the mark. If you want to address the inequities of poverty, why not allow preferential treatment for the poor?
