I couldn't agree more. I believe it is similar how the word "Democracy" has been twisted by conservatives. When applied to foreign governments, it now means that their foreign trade policies are Pro-American business and has little to do with governing policies.
Basically, if you allow US business interests access to your natural resources, and then allow US goods to be sold in your country, you have a Democracy. Doesn't matter what else you do. If you don't, you're not democratic and far less flattering labels get applied. You know what happens next. That's right, the US government gonna give yo a$$ an attitude adjustment!
