He got about 65-70 bu/acre in beans and ave about 185-190 bu/acre of corn. They got the beans in at a good water weight before the frost and the corn was coming in at abot 16-17%. Less dry time and the co-op is taking it in at that. Means free money for selling a little water.
Ave cost per acre now in Iowa is $4000/acre. 5 years ago it was $1500. I told my wife back then we should have bought a block - told her it would only go up. Guess what she heard for 30 min on the ride home!
