Might wanna look into the American prewar issues as well....not just the German side but Japan as well.
Japan had no steel industry. We sent them TONS of material both raw and recyclable scrap. Ford and GM had truck plants with technology and information going over there up to and exceeding 1940. Big GM and Ford trucks supplied material that killed your grandpa......
Our hero "Lindy" was pro German....so much so that he was dissed in the press....this guy was a an American hero..... he was a big wheel in the American Airlines Industry.
