The wifes DD is a 2000 528. She beats is pretty hard and it consistently gets 22-25 mpg. Slightly underpowered in the low end for my taste, but makes an awesome hwy cruiser.
70k miles now with only minor electrical issues, all warranty covered. Sport package and steptronic trans are the only way to go. Opt for premium sound, stock sucks. Two thumbs up.
