The worst of many isms...
I knew a lovely girl who was smart, beautiful, educated, well travelled and hard working. When she got out of college (an Ivy) she went to see her grandmother that she had never got to know.
After sitting around the house for a few days - granny said "i would love to introduce you to my friends and all, but as your daddy is black, well, you understand....."
You could see how hurt she was.
