well...most of us have more trouble getting the heat exchangers off when we want to due to the damn studs but yes..igeuss if several of the studs broke and you had something catch underneath it coud separate. Might as well go ahead and try to take the rest off..do a search and see what techniques to use to lessen your chance of snapping more exhaust studs.....
