Have to agree with scottmandue.
The best radio out there that I listen to is NPR and college stations. The ones here in SoCal are kind of boring though - there used to be a really great one out of Naperville, Illinois that I LOVED when I lived there (think it was for North Central College) - I miss that station. Most of the stuff on the air is WAY over-commercialized now and not really worth my time to listen to (hence why I listen to and sponsor NPR, or just listen to stuff I record).
*sigh*
Radio and rock&roll is pretty much dead. And I refuse to pay for radio in much the same way I refused to pay for TV until about a year ago when I finally sucked it up and got the dish - but that's only because the "over the air" programming in LA sucks and it's virutally all in Spanish.
