I prepared since we had sooo much time to do it. Funny to hear people complaining that FEMA ran out of water or ice and "were slow to respond" less than 36 hours after a major hit.

Politics politics. I guess if their reasoning applies, we (the ones who prepared) should be reimbursed for our own expenses. Heck everyone else expects the government to pay (and do) their prep duties.

I've seen the response teams, the water and ice lines, the tarp lines and I must say, I'm proud to be an American and a Floridian.

Thanks much to all concerned with the relief efforts (Natl Guard, Police, FEMA, Corp of Engineers, City, County, State and Federal Govmnts, ...).

You think its hard waiting in line for ice and water. Think about those who left their families behind to serve you and deal with every emotional outburst.
