People were in line for ice and water 15 hours after the storm passed. WTF!!

If you are incapable of filling a bunch of 2 litre bottles with water and freezing them during the 1 week warning you had to prepare for this storm you deserve to sit in a line for 12 hours for 1 bag of ice.

I had no power for 10 days and 12 days respctively in Sept. 2004. I did not have to get in a line for anyhting. Amazingly, 3 days after a storm you can usually go buy ice, water and provisions at the local grocery store.

I heard some lady on the radio yesterday crying she needed milk for her kids and milk does not keep without refridgeration. There is this neat product called Parmilat. It is milk that can be stored at room tempurature for months. There is powdered milk. Please! these people are like my neighbor, they are victims looking for their next problem.

Those that need gas? They are running generators 24 hours a day. Total waste of gas. We ran ours 8 hours a day. I only used 5 gallons in 2 days. While they are using 20 gallons over the same period. Its a matter of using your brain and thinking about conserving, making sacrifices.

I am proud of the officials that endure the backlash of the media and I am embarressed by the pathetic people that cannot help themselves.
