Dr Grey, the NOAA brain that developed the orig programing for hurricanes says,
The Atlantic and Pacific varies in which one is warmest. The cycle may last 20-40yrs.
The actual number is not increasing in the Atlantic. It's only blowing closer to the coast. This may last 20-40yrs. We never hear about past hurricanes that stay off shore.
The current warmer Atlantic than Pacific is causing more intense storms in the Atlantic.
On another note the "Long Island Express" from around 1938 moved homes off it's foundations. It was below a cat 4.. and my town is on a barrier beach about 5-8' above mean high tide.
but WTF the gov't is my friend. They offer Flood Ins which keeps RE increases way up. They did give a neighbor a hard time 20yrs ago because their lower floor got remodeled 3x in one season for big bucks each time.
