Kris, I don't think these carbs have a choke. I suggest , don't use the black plastic insulator casket. Use a steel crush casket (maybe a little sealer on it). This way the intake manifold will get hot. I always use this setup. The same is true of the 32/36 single carb setup. those long runners have to get warm befor they will take any gas. Also try a richer idle jet. Al
