In 1981 porsche buildt the 944 GTP for the 1981 le-mans, It`s a 16-Valve variation of the 944 Engine. Like the later introduced Porsche 944 S(2). This Engine is quite special, because it is the only Porsche inline 4-Cylinder 16-valve turbo Engine ever made. Even the later indroduced Porsche 968 RS (turbo) was an 8-valve Engine.
