Try this:
Stand as if you're on your board. Bend your knees, again like you're on the board. Roll forward from your heel to standing on the front of your foot & Toes. Hold a good 5 count. Now roll your feet backwards so that you are standing on your heels and lift your toes off the ground. Hold a five count. Repeat this 10 times to start. Do this daily as part of your workout routine. Double it every week until you can repeat it 100 times.
A slightly more adanced version: when you roll onto the front of your foot, claw your toes into the ground. When you roll onto your heel, try to stretch your toes upwards.
This simulates the standard carving balance.
