Ok people, I do believe I have figured out the problem---but hold on a minute---So I got a few minutes the other day, went through it again, re-checked timing and points gap, did some slight adjustments with linkage just to be absolutely positive Im not a nutjob. So I had a little time to drive it and I came to this conclusion......Its the friggin EMPI manifolds!!!!! They are warped!!!!! The kit comes with paper or some sort of fiber gaskets to put between the head and the manifold, and obviously it isnt enough to compensate for the EMPI quality control. After engine fully warms up the problem goes away ALMOST completely. So long story short, Its vacuum leaks.....terrible when cold and improves dramatically after 20 mins of hard running. I couldnt believe how good it ran fully hot. So now for my next task, remove and true-up the manifolds and buy some better gaskets.....I will definately update when I complete this task........I will get some time soon. LETS FIX THIS CAR!!!!!!!!!
