I met a guy at the Bay Bottom Crawl, he is a P-car owner (944) and his car number changes every year to match his age. His car number this year was 86. Mind you, the Bay Bottom Crawl is not for the faint herted and is more trecherous than any DE I have ever done. His lap times are right in the mix with guys 1/2 his age.
My grandfather (WWII ex-army mechanic - battle of the bulge) did 100 situps and pushups every day until he died. He was an amazing man who built amazing weath from nothing and was a well regarded British Leyland mechanic in NYC, his company was called Adams and Mahoney. He retired when the Japanese cars started showing up in the early 70's. His partner told him he was crazy no one would forget perl harbor and british cars would always be more popular.........
Mike - Enjoy your dad as much as possible, it sounds like you do he sounds like an awesome guy. My dad is 60 right now and needs to get in shape. I ride his *ss all the time about it.
