Its a 1954 DeSoto Ghia Adventurer II. One of the Motorama cars after Virgil Exner arrived at Chrysler. Longtime ownership by the Sultan of Morocco before returning to the US.
Trunk detail could be mistaken from a distance as either a TBird or Cadillac chevron, but is actually a stylized "V8":
