It's fine with me if "Christmas" disappears from store ads and TV commercials.
I fail to understand what is so important about the commercial aspects of Christmas. I always throught the commerce part was supposed to have minor significance to Christians.
As for government 'endorsement,' well, there is no 'state religion' by law.
Most Christians I know are not so weak that they need reinforcement of the commercial aspects of Christmas all around them.
