Seems we're gonna see more Polizei liveried 911s as the German police are going to take delivery of some 997 S to try and catch Brits involved in illegal 'cannonball-run' racing:

No escape for Brit autobahn racers
German traffic police have been issued with the Porsche 997 Carrera S in a bid to keep up with what have been described as Brits indulging in illegal, Cannonball-style races on the country's unrestricted autobahns.
To be officially unveiled at the Essen motor show this Friday, the car gets a specially tuned engine, aerodynamic body kit and sports suspension as well as the standard blue flashing light and green and silver colours of the German police.
In the first operation last month, more than 100 British motorists in sports cars believed to be part of an illegal race were stopped.
