Just curious if you've tried testing the DME temperature sensor yet? But you need a multimeter to test the resistance. Also for the test values in the link I posted I think it has to get up to like 59F, not sure if it's getting that warm in Vancouver though huh?

But if you want, you could measure it and post the resistance value and the temperature when you tested it, maybe it'll give some clues
