We looked hard at the TT when we replaced the wife's car 18 months ago. The twin turbo, 225 HP 1.8 motor was by far the best drive train available at the time for my tastes. Test drove it about 4 times.
We were about to have the dealer start searching the east coast for a color combo we wanted when we drove a S4, mostly on a lark. Bought it 10 minutes later. V8, 6 speed, and Quattro completely changed the way I think about cars.
All in all, the TT is a nice car. You should be very happy with it.
