The computer at issue is just a home PC.

I can connect to the web/internet and get to many sites OK. But some sites (like Pelican, and one of the game sites I visit), the X always comes up on that computer, and freezes the computer.

The update wants me to connect to the web to download the update, but then states (for iexplorer 6) "cannot download due to missing components" for iexplorer 6. I want the 5.5 version but I can't get any connection for the 5.5 when I try to execute the download.

Can I transfer the entire web browser I am using on this computer to the other computer at issue without having to connect to the internet?
