I hope you don't believe the reason for a corporation to exist is to provide a job do you? The corporation is there to make money for its shareholders. The only reason anyone (including Universities) hires someone is because hiring that individual makes money for the employer. Gubmit excluded of course. As far as
Walmart, people said the same thing when Supermarkets first came into existance, that they would drive out the butcher, the baker, and the candlestick maker, which for the most part they did. Did you know that for the most part cold cereal like corn flakes didn't exist prior to the replacement of the horse with the automobile. General Mills, Kellogg and others needed another end user for their corn and grains.

Sure Walmart is changing the dynamics of shopping, but last month, I bought what appeared to me to be the same mouthwash at Walmart for about $1.71 that at Safeway cost $4.75.
