I had an 850 turbo that I bailed on at 100k. The car still ran fine, but you could tell the suspension and steering has play in them and it was feeling loose. Volvo service was close to Porsche for cost also. Sure you can keep driving it for another 100k, but It was time to trade it in. Which brings me to an observation: Don't you think most Volvo drivers simply just hold onto their car forever because their cheap (ok, careful with their money)? It seems if you have a Volvo, you have a license to have a car that can be cosmetically a wreck and still get away with it because it runs ok. If you have a honda civic that has 150k on it, then you drive a beater.
