I'm going under the blade this Saturday - Both eyes and it ain't lasik...
Getting a procedure done this weekend to correct for double vision I have had for about 12 years. The problem is I have something called Strabismus which is a condition where one of the four muscles that control the eye is pulling to hard or not hard enough and it throws off your steriovision. In severe cases it is the "cross-eyed" or the "eye drift" effect. My eyes don't drift or cross but I do tilt my head so I don't see double but over the past several years I see double all the time and it is starting to piss me off.
So the Doctor (who has been doing these operations on kids and adults for 35+ years) is going to put me under, cut the the muscle off of my eye and re-attach it so it doesn't pull it in the wrong direction. he uses micro sutures the width of a human hair. He has to do this with both eyes.
This should be tons of fun! Can't wait to get my eyes cut! This should feel great! They say your eyes will be so badley blood shot all the white will be blood red for a week!
I'll take some pics.
