I have a 71 T with 2.2 and Zenith carbs. I had a rough idle and popping and backfiring through the carbs. I posted a similar question to yours about my issues and got replies to do a search on the site. I did and found a ton of info about adjusting my Zeniths. I have adjusted my carbs according to info I found on this site, and they are much better! I need to work with them some more to get them completely dailed in, but it runs much better now.

So, long story short, do a search on this site about adjusting your Webers and good luck!
