The hanes manual does a surprisingly good job of detailing what should be on the realy board, what it does, where it goes, etc. Pick one up at your local auto parts store for around $17.
By the way, my '74 1.8 has not one relay in the board! There are ways around everything. Not my way mind you, I am in the middle of making mine right!
