I started this same project this weekend but only got as far as stripping the door. (Long story but ended up going away with the wife for the weekend instead!
)
In any case, the driver's window stopped working after the last rainstorm. Passenger door works fine and the switch swap has everything working the same way. Given the posts here, I'm ordering the motor as I suspect that it is the problem, but would have put everything together if it worked outside the door and just been upset when it still didn't work.
