I'm in the middle of the same project.
I've changed the felt on the drivers side. It now goes up and down about 3 times faster. I pulled the window channel frame out
to do mine. And I lubed everything that moves.
I'm going to leave well enough alone. Going to change the switches when I put the panel back on. Also clean all the electrical connectors.
I just don't want to pull the regulators out.
And yes you can buy new ones. Can't remember
which catalog they're in. Both manual and electrical.
