Did the Apprentice make the right decision last night?
I didn't watch the show much, but caught glimpses of it because my wife watched it. The guy who won, though, was pretty impressive.
I though the most compelling part of the show was when Trump asked him if Trump should hire the 2nd place woman for the other project.
Wow, what a tough "on the spot" question on live TV.
I thought the guy handled it brilliantly. He thought for a split second, then said "no." And then gave a good reason: The show is the Apprentice, not the "Apprenti," he won and he is the sole Apprentice. (Obviously he said a bit more, but it was good).
I thought that was brilliant because I think it is the *right* answer, but the one that 99% of people, if put under that pressure and in that spot, would NOT have had the guts to make, or the ability to defend with clarity and confidence. I thought it showed courage, balls, and the ability to do what was right (play by the rules of the game, not change them at the end), even though there was a real danger of making him unpopular. It showed that he could make a tough decision, quickly and without flinching, and defend it.
Whaddya think?
