Personally I can't stand the early OE wheels -- way too huge (can you say "bus"?) and skinny.
I have a Momo Monte Carlo on my 914 and a Nardi/Personal "Fittipaldi" on my 911. Love them both.
Whatever you do, KEEP the original steering wheel in case you sell the car or decide to return it to stock!
