The big benefit of carbs is throttle response, and the ability to run a more agressive cam than with CIS. I am not at all familiar with carbs but also have a 2.7, and a free set of webbers; so was planning the same swap. I am going to run an sc profile cam. If you need to change pistons/cylinders you can get a hotter cam because the CIS piston domes interfere with many cams. BTW, if you do sell, the carbs will pull more alone than with the whole engine. A lot of people are looking for webbers, not as many want whole engines.
