back in 1996ish during the IMSA race a 993 had a complete brake failure going into turn 11, carrying nearly the same speed. The car went completely through the concrete barrier that was hiding behind the tires (I think the car went in at a weird angle and "between" the tires). If I remember correctly the driver lucked out with only a broken leg?
