I think you're right.
Now my question is "why do you run solid mounts ?"
It has been proven on the dyno that solid mounts cost horse power especially with carburated engines.
They also transfer a tremendous amount of vibration that tends to cause all manner of problems.
Driver fatigue being the most obvious.
Resent studies have shown that even high noise levels effect driver performance.
